FUTURE EXHIBITIONS 2012 Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art is the Artists’ House. The exhibition programme is planned and initiated by artists and focuses on collective exhibition practices and artistic experiments. SPRING EXHIBITION 2012 / MARCH 3RD - APRIL 8TH With the Spring Exhibition 2012 Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art wishes to mark the beginning of a process of development, which will mold the artists’ association of the house in a new direction and into a new era. The artistic community and the fixed place of the association will be tested. On March 28th a seminar will discuss the basic thought of the association and new perspectives upon artistic communities. SKULPTURI / APRIL 21st - JUNE 3RD 2012 This sculpture manifestation, Skulpturi, in Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art focuses upon the material, the sensuous and procedural sculpture and presents the audience to spatial investigations. 4 years of experience with artistic research connected to running the exhibition space Skulpturi constitutes the frame for the exhibition. During the exhibition period a seminar will be held with focus upon the sculptural practice. SOUND ART IN DEN FRIE CENTRE OF CONTEMPORARY ART / JUNE 9TH - JUNE 17TH 2012 In co-operation with SNYK (a genre organization for new compositional music and other experimental music in Denmark), Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art presents a 10 day international sound art festival. The festival will present a wide section of sound art and will explore the intersection between art and sound. SUMMER EXHIBITION / JUNE 23RD - AUGUST 12TH The Summer Exhibition is curated by the artist group A-kassen, which was established in 2006. A-kassen works with performing art installations and sculptures which are often developed for a specific place. For the Summer Exhibition A-kassen has the architecture of the house as a starting point and invites artists from home and abroad to present new tendencies. |
