DEN FRIE UDSTILLING - SPRING EXHIBITION 2010 Saturday the 27th of February the doors opened for Den Frie Udstilling's Spring Exhibition 2010. Based on the idea of cutting away any surplus and take stock, the exhibition this year differ from last years exhibition, by having no overall concept. The exhibition is a serious and honest presentation of the potential of the artist union, and is carried by the quality of the members works without a common theme or other guiding principles. The only common focal point is, that the artists in the exhibition presents newly produced works, and that the artists of the union have not invited guest exhibitors. The Spring Exhibition will show what Den Frie Udstilling is, and what it is capable of today. With The Spring Exhibition, Den Frie Udstilling intend to reflect on the artist union and the future of the artistic community. For the idea of unions and the community to be relevant in the 21st century, it is necessary to re-think what a community is, and how the union can maintain the tradition and simultaneously renew itself from the inside. Den Frie Udstilling therefore welcome the Spring Exhibition 2010 as an oppor-tunity to explore and investigate the possibilities of the union. Participating artists: |
