BRUNCH TALK BY BRUNO LATOUR
On October 31st 2009 the world-famous French sociologist in science Bruno Latour visited Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art to participate in an open lecture on the field between nature and politics in relation to the exhibition RETHINK - The Implicit.

Latour, who is famous for his pragmatic analysis of how technology, culture, politics and nature always have been merged, gave a considerable impetus to the climate debate in progress – with new perspectives and approaches to the current situation.
The event was held in relation to the exhibition RETHINK – Contemporary Art & Climate Change, which opened at the same day at Statens Museum for Kunst, Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, Kunsthallen Nikolaj, Moesgård Museum in Århus and online.

The exhibition, which had many high profile artists from the North and the rest of the world, was appointed as The Nordic Exhibition of the Year 2009-2010 by Nordic Culture Fund. Each of the four art institutions adapted climate from each of their topics, and the team at Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art RETHINK - The Implicit was especially inspired by the analyses of Latour.

Moderator: Paul du Gay, Professor at The Institute for Organisation, CBS.
