Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art is The Artists’ House. We are a privately owned art institution that receives yearly additional funding from The Ministry of Culture, starting in 2010. Our exhibitors furthermore pay a service fee for exhibiting in the building. This, together with our ongoing income, covers the Centre’s primary operational cost. Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art is very grateful of our art interested collaborators who actively contribute to giving us the possibility to offer the exhibiting artists attractive deals concerning equipment, printed matters, accommodation and more. Together with our collaborators, we this way continually work to secure the highest standard, not only in our exhibitions and events, but also to make sure that Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art offers a high level of communication and presentation. Our invitation and program is always printed on eco-labelled paper, and food and drinks are always ecological. Sound and screen image is always of the best, latest and most flexible quality, and our exhibiting guests are accommodated at our neighbour Comfort Hotel Østerport. We thank our close collaborators for supporting us in the process of becoming Denmark’s leading institution of contemporary art.
